Brief planned server outage on the 171.64.65.XX network

Post by vbironchef »

Brief planned server outage on the 171.64.65.XX network tomorrow (Tuesday, October 28)
We will have a brief (1 hour) server outage tomorrow, October 28 at 10am pacific time. It is expected to last about an hour. This will only affect machines on the 171.64.65.XX network, so most of FAH will be up. However, we expect there to be a server backlog for a little bit after the machines come back up. Also, it's likely that one server or so will have trouble coming back up and will be delayed.
On a side note: I have been having trouble with my GPU2 Client yesterday and today. Having trouble sending results and connecting to server.

You aren't kidding...DaIceMan and I have had lots of trouble the last few days. I think at one point yesterday 4 of my GPU's had three work units to turn in all at once. Not too big of deal since they were still getting work. Sometime over night the work server was lost and they got nothing. Soooo..since non of my machines had done anything for 2-3 hours early this morning I gave them the day off. I may make it a whole "weekend" off for them from the looks of that blog post.

Oh, I usually leave the window wide open in the computer room to help cool it down. Needless to say this morning it was very cold in there as we were down to 36 degrees last night.

Same here, at first I thought it was my fault, I set my shader clock up a bit more and then noticed I wasnt folding after a couple hours. But it did pick back up sometime this morning. :)

my system was not getting work units between 7am and 10am CST here today, so no folding for 3 hours today... that was a couple WU's of production lost.

My system has been down for a few hours now.
I am getting all kinds of errors, cant send data, cant get new WU's , Unstable machine
I wonder if this is due to the server down time???

Same here. Now I am getting errors like this: EUE limit exceeded. Pausing 24 hours. Looks like I am going to lose these WU's. I am just going to call today a waste of time.
