While brainstorming here at the office (have to think of SOMETHING, lol) I got the idea that maybe I could hide the fill port for the T-Line in the cross sections of the top of the case. If you look at the top of the case you'll see what I'm talking about. There's this criss cross patern of raised plastic with little "pockets". I'm wondering if one of those pockets might not be big enough for a fill port.

Otherwise I'll have to buy a res and install that in the case, next to the pump I imagine.

If I do a T-Line setup how am I gonna get the liquid in there? I thought it was kinda nessicary based on every h2o system I've seen without a radiator.

BTW, what the heck is your avatar a picture of anyway Martini?

Well my new power supply is here. Glad I didn't have to pay for shipping as this things mighty beefy and probably weighs more than 5lbs. It's got the familiar Legit Reviews logo on the back of the box so I know it's good quality!

Trying to decide how to mount it. Upside down and the txt on the side will look wierd and the fan will be exposed to things falling in it. Put it right side up and the fan will only be an inch from the bottom of the case, possibly hurting cooling.

I have my PSU face down, I guess it does suck more dust in from the carpet than it would normally suck in, but i don't have any overheating problems.

If Danny-boy says it's ok, I'm all for it.

I feel like such a tool asking all these questions. I've built several hundred, if not thousand computers in my life working for various companies. I've just never built anything as... custom I guess as what i'm working on now. I just want to make sure I maximize every last thing I can to make this look and run great.

Hey, I don't blame you. If you want to do the best you can first time, you have to learn from somewhere. What better way than to ask from the people that have had a go at it before (and made a few mistakes along the way, so that you don't have to).

I'm about to order my parts tomorrow. Do I need to worry about the thickness of the tubing for the water cooling. Right now I'm looking at some 1/2" ID tubing with an outside thickness of 11/16". Will that be ok?

The main worry is if the pipe wall thickness is too thin, and that thickness of pipe definitely isn't thin.

I'm not sure but I think that's actually the pipe thickness I'm using, I'll have to check it out when I get home tonight.

That stuff is the middle thickness...................

Most (alot) use 1/2" x 3/4" (really thick), the next is the stuff that you're getting and the really thin stuff (that I'd stay away from) is 1/2" x 5/8".

Last question before I order since it was never answered.

Is there a huge diffrence between the Apogee GT and the GTZ?

BTW, the new power supply looks like it was MADE for the case. The fan grills match, the color matches, the red stencling on the side even looks fantastic! Thanks again Brian and everyone else who talked me into getting the Corsair.

There is a couple of degrees difference in the GTZ's favour (at most 3).

I like the look of their new mounting system too.

With said info, It's up to you decide if it's worth the extra money :finga:

Alathald started his new bid and that's lit a fire under me to complete this one. So what's a geek to do? Order more parts!

From Sidewinder
Swiftech MCR320-QP Radiator w/ 1/2" ID Swiftech barbs
Switfech MCP655-B Pump
10 x Hose Clams (7/16" to 25/32")
10' Tygon B-44-4X Hose (1/2"id x 11/16"od)

Total: 156.82 shipped!

I also got in on that OCZ Fatal1ty Edition 4GB DDR2 800 deal thats going on at New Egg.

All that leaves is the CPU waterblock I suppose. Have I left anything out?

I'm liking my Apogee GTZ for ease of use and instalation, plus I'm getting a few degrees better performance over my old GTX.

Well, the parts finally arrived. So lets see what we're working with!

Image

I know it's hard to tell from the photo, but that's a Legit logo on the back of that Corsair box!

I got the power supply mounted.

Image

Also installed the NZXT Sentry LX. That thing is so evil looking. As you can see the radiators a bit of a squeeze.

Image

Here's a pic from the inside. It's gonna fit, but it's gonna be a bear to mount it.

Image

As I figured, the radiator has crept into the drive bay where the fan controller is, but I'm happy to see not nearly as much as I originally figured. Plus, since the barbs are BELOW the support bracket I probably won't have to cut the bracket out. The fans won't be directly mounted on the radiator but they will be within 1/2 as they're mounted in the stock fan locations for the case. I haven't started mocking up the tubing yet as I'm painting part of my condo this week, but I hope to get to it by Friday. What do you think?
