I am now water based

Post by KnightRid »

Well on one system..lol.

WHAT A PAIN! Its not ALL the big water 735's fault, but it was because I did not have a case for everything to fit! I have the radiator and the pump/reservoir sitting outside the case! One problem WAS the 735's fault - the pump was broke! I took it apart and found the impeller was sitting against the housing because the rod that goes down the middle to hold it up was not attached :( I super glued the black cap to the pole and then to the impeller to hold it up at the height it should be, but it is noisy and I fear will die pretty soon. Hope the computer shuts off if the temp gets to 8000 degrees in a short time period

Temps are amazing so far!

Running the fan at 100% now and will update again :)

NOTHING is overclocked on that one. It is an E6600 and a 7600GT video card - nothing earth shattering ;)

I do NOT like how the vga block attached since it is only by 2 corners rather than 4! I just dont like that at all, but being on the 7600GT, I dont care too much if it fries ;)

Mike

If the temps hold up, i can see what the big deal is! QUIET is a big thing too. Might try looking for one for the Q6700 and 8800gt sometime, but i have to get a case that everything fits in.

We need to see if Nate can work up some kinda banner or something for the water coolers of the forum. Would be kinda cool.

On one of my other forums, under the name you can have several little banner graphics right below your post count. It would be interesting if we could have one if you're a water cooler, and another if you're a folder.

Doubt it, I've been pushing for custom titles for a while now.

It's great that you've found the time to take the plunge :toimonster:

Sorry to hear about your pump problems, but at least you have it in a working state.

If it does die on you (do you have a waranty thing with that setup?) you should consider replacing it (and the CPU block) with this pump/block combo:
