ok for for my igronence but i just installed a sata internal hard drive,it shows up on the computer but it doesnt show on my computer,its there on disk devices so how do i put it on my computer giving it a ;letter

If you are in Windows Vista, try clicking on the start button, then typing "Disk Management" in the search bar. It will show a settings location for disk management. I believe you can do it from there. Sorry, I am not on Vista right now so I can't explain to well, if this helps, awesome, if not, I am sure someone else can give you a better explanation

im using xp and on disk management it says status:healthy(unknown partition),volume is blank and file system is blank.
those are the only differences to my other hard drive which is wprking

the drive is put into 4 different partition the main one 371GB,the second is 376MB,3rd is 212mb and the 4th is 133mb.
should i delete the partition?

If this is a brand new drive and shouldnt have anything on it then yes, delete the partitions and create a new partition that is the whole drive. Use NTFS to format it.
