Looks like the one near me is staying open. Probably because there still isn't a Best Buy around here.

Honestly i would rather go to CircutCity than bestbuy. Best buy is the worst retail store ever known to man. Everyone I know personally has had a bad experience there from rude service to trying to rip them off.
They not only treat their customers bad, they treat their employees worse.

Anyone planning on checking out some liquidation deals at the closing stores? I don't really need anything, so I may pass.

I might. Don't need anything really right now other than a smallish subwoofer for the bedroom but I doubt they'll care anything I'd use. I remember CompUSA going out of business and even THEN thier prices were high.

The one near me is really nice too. Though they sold me a piece of crap Polaroid TV. I finally sent it to get it repaired under the manuf. warrantee.

CC didn't really care at all.

Looks like the one in Springfield, Mo survived the cut. Too bad really, because the store has gone to hell in a hand basket in the last 5 years or so.

As for the comp usa closing sales, I got my parents computer there and that was the only good deal they had. Remember it was a little bit ago. E2200, 2GB ddr2 800, 8500gt video card, and 19" monitor (LCD) $399. When compusa reopened as tiger direct they even traded in my monitor because the bleeding was so bad. I wonder who will buy our Circuit City.... Newegg? haha

When CC fired thousands of their sales associates and hired new ones at a lower rate of pay I swore I'd never buy anything else from them! :x
I may have to go back on that if they have what I want for the right price during this liquidation!

I plan to check out the Gravois Bluff location tomorrow to see if they have any of those HP Atom based netbooks on sale. I've been wanting one for a while now.

Yeah, the only thing I found was the Apocalypse Now special edition DVD, 20% off $15. I stood in line for about 5 minutes without it moving, and there were still 10 people in front of me. I set it on a nearby shelf and left.

Their normal merchandise was 10% off, 20% off DVDs and CDs, and 30% off mobile accessories and furnature. Definitely not worth it, and it was crowded as hell.

Went to the one in St. Charles, Mo. walked out feeling the same way, Not Worth It!
I looked at the Logitech MX Revolution CC wanted $104 and then 10% off, Amazon has it for $65 shipped!

I looked at HDTV's......Total Joke!
