While that's certainly the cheap way to do it, not everyone has the skill set to properly crimp cables. Monoprice cables are fairly inexpensive. Probably better to buy those. Discounts available if you buy in bulk, too.

The difference in price is only 3 dollars per cable. I wasn't sure what to get because I never heard of cat 6a cables. I don't even know the dif. between shielded and not shielded. Don't know what it's for. I just wanted good cables, so I am keeping my order the way it is. Thanks for the help.
My internet is provided by time warner cable. How do I go about that. I don't mind spending the money if it is worth it. I spent 12k on my home sound system. Remember I'm just a cook, so I am trying to learn something everyday.

My front speakers are Paradigm studio 60v2, my sub is a paradigm servo 15v2 and my center and rear are Paradigm cc-570 and Paradigm adp-470 I think. My receiver is a Yamaha RX-Z9. Sound is great, it's like I am at the movies. New tv coming next year. I have it all in BDI component racks and stands. I have a 5-disc sony super cd/dvd player. here is a link to Paradigm if you don't mind. I would buy it all over again. http://www.paradigm.com/en/paradigm/news/

being an audiophile and having heard paradigm in person i have to say i wasnt all to impressed. Still think you spent way to much on your calbes. having peice of mind knowing you bought high quality cables and pissing away 50 bucks are two different things. but its your money so ill shut up now.
I bought all that 4 years ago. As for not liking Paradigm, I guess it depends on what model you listened to. It might have been there entry level stuff. You can spend alot more on Paradigm speakers and most of there line get great reviews at any price point. After looking at Darkstar's site I know I paid way to much I am still waiting on those right angle sata cables, I think they will be here 11/14/08. I hope they solve my problem. Why do you think cablestogo prices so high

because they can be? Same reason Circuit City/Best Buy etc can sell a 2 meter HDMI cables for $70. Someone will buy it.
As for audio, it's hard to debate that brand X sounds better than brand Y because everyone hears differently. Looking at the specs of my home theatre would probably cause most people here to , but I personally think it sounds pretty good and the only person i need to impress is me. (and I spent a lot less than $12k. maybe I need to become a cook. )
