Interesting Test

Post by Alathald »

I recently found this little test that is supposed to be a test for aspergers syndrome...I was kinda surprised at my results, I've always known I wasn't "normal" per say but a 41? damn...
Scores over 32 are generally taken to indicate Asperger's Syndrome or high-functioning autism, with more than 34 an "extreme" score.
Excuse me while I call my psychiatrist

Just curious as to what everyone else is scoring...

19. I'm pretty sure my social responses negated some of my attention to detail responses.

I scored 22, so the test is definitely flawed. My wife is the Autism guru for her school district, and my son has Asperger's and my wife often calls me "Mr Autistic". I am far more social than a "typical" person with Autism, so that skewed the test results greatly.

You can't really diagnose anything with a written test. Probably someone diagnosed with AG will score higher than 32, but the test fails to distinguish the bell curve of normal people. Mental issues in general are difficult to diagnose.

But anyone with a mild case of social anxiety will probably show up at a really high value on this test.

Yeah there is a disclaimer on there that says the results aren't medically relevant, just thought it was a fun test...I'm definitely not a social person because I stutter when I speak (though it has improved over the years) and I'm a majorly detail oriented person and a math major (and I really like finding patterns in things :axe: ) so that probably explains my high score (and why everyone I know thinks I'm a geek :P ).
