Legit Reviews Turns 6 Years Old on 11/25/2002
I just wanted to say thanks for all your support over the past six years and here is to six more. I never knew that this site would be read by tens of millions of people over the years or that it would become what I did for a living, but it just goes to show that you never know!
It's been a crazy ride over the years, but it's been a good experience! Expect some big changes in 2009... I have a complete redesign for the site in the works that is 90% done and it should be vastly improved.

I really like the mature, helping community that has formed around this site over the years. I can't believe it has been 6 years since I wrote my first review!!!

I just recently parted with that case by giving it to a friend that helped me replace the starter in my car.... ahh, the memories!!

Re: Legit Reviews Turns 6 Years Old on 11/25/2002
this is truly an amazing site, may of us have come here for advice, computer related or not, and never been disappointed and I for one have grown tremendously due to this site alone, since i built my first computer in April '07 with very old hardware(geforce 4 ti 4200, Athlon XP 2800 @2.2GHz, 1 GB DDR400 RAM) where i was teh noob, now i'm a part-time reviewer, have a pretty sick gaming rig, I know more about hardware than any person i know, and am somewhat of a veteran on the site(or so my post count dictates
)
I'm glad LR is continuing to grow and continue it shall
@dan, that site is pretty cool, so those links are what the LR homepage actually looked like
talk about progression

Happy B-Day LR and here is to 6 more
Wow, I came here almost 3.5 years ago to say thanks for a prize I won at a LAN and decided to stick around. Now I've been writing for the last year and looking forward to more to come.

Re: Legit Reviews Turns 6 Years Old on 11/25/2002
It has been a fun four years! I remember When HardOCP posted up our first news blast the day after the site opened -
He was talking about this picture:

When I started the site I didn't even own a digital camera so I had to borrow my universities digital camera to take the pictures. It was an old Sony 0.8MP job that took 3.5" floppy disks and was the size of a phone book. To get that picture I took the video card to campus and used the scales in the organic chemistry class that I was in that semester. It's amazing to see how far the site and all of us have come since 2002. The first review posted on the site was the ABIT GeForce 4 Ti-4200 OTES, which was one of the first graphics cards do vent hot air outside the case.

Re: Legit Reviews Turns 6 Years Old on 11/25/2002
I was looking at some of the old posts and saw the Radeon 9500 series. Haha, that was my first build ever. AMD 1800+ 512 MB ram and the 9550. I was dying to get a 64 bit pc thinking that was a huge thing.
