Re: What video card to buy?
are they comparable set ups? Either way it was surprising to see the results.
The 3d06 was 14k. For the 9600gt.

SLI in 3DMARK06 only gave me 13,500 marks, even though the actual frame rates were near double

Re: What video card to buy?
Now you got me confused, I thought it was 9600 series getting 14k, but you said you were getting less than half that Martini.
Is that right? Or on your Ntune panel thing do you have the option bar to slide from performance to quality slid to quality? or a setting off or is that the avg score?
Skierkid,
you said you got 11.6k with 1 and only 13.5k with 2?

Re: What video card to buy?
well, i don't have COD4, do you have Crysis warhead/DiRT/PROSTREET/Carbon/orange box games/CS:S games installed to compare, but either way, 3DMARK06 can't have THAT big of a discretion, i mean, i got almost 2x as many 3DMARKS, there MUST be a major performance differencemartini161 wrote:well reguardless i know my 8800gt can run cod4 at max settings with 4xaa and my 9600gt cant

Re: What video card to buy?
I think he cut his card in half. You know if you try the vmod 2.3 hack you have to cut your card diagonally, but it does improve performance if done correctly. But, some people slip and the hack doesn't work properly.

you always say fake things so seriously, it's scary the things you come up with sometimes(that make people wanna try things)hercules71185 wrote:I think he cut his card in half. The 9600gt just hasn't got the juice that an 8800gt does.
