[Pics] TownScape Across the Valley

Post by DMB2000uk »

My school that I work in is on one side of a valley and the town centre is on the other, so I decided to have a play at taking a picture of it.

So after work I went and took a couple of shots, but found I needed a much longer shutter time than what I could hand hold stably (even leaning myself against a fence). It was with a smile that I remembered I actually had a decent tripod in my office, so went back to get it and tried again. Needless to say I'm really glad I did, as I got these pictures afterwards:

(View the fullscreen links for the full scale as these have been compressed lots for those still unfortunate to be on dial up and don't look so great)

When you get charged as much as we do for gas, you try running something as inefficient as a pickup :finga:
(and by us I mean people who can drive, which doesn't include me >_>)
