Need help Finding a specific Video card

Post by dicecca112 »

Looking for a card to put into my new DVD Player Box

Basically I'm using XBMC on Ubuntu, going to rip all of DVDs to a 1TB drive.

It needs to be PCI, have an output of HDMI (if possible) or Component, and a Composite Audio out. Cheaper is better.

PCI card with an HDMI and composite audio out?

I don't see anything on Newegg, though I assume you have already looked there.

I can't imagine a PCI card with an audio out.

There are some low profile cards there, don't know if that is required.

Get the External Enclosure and the WD Box today, HDD should be here Thursday. In the meantime, anyone know what the highest quality format is for DVD rips? I was thinking MK4. Either way I have a ton of ripping on my hands to do. If I had to guess I'd say I have over 100-150DVDs to rip. But it'll be nice to just be able to pick in a library of what I want to watch.

I may get a BlueRay DVD Rom and another enclosure to Rip Blue Rays.

martini there are always ways around that, and I'm sure I'll find a way. If you notice a lot more DVDs are coming with "Digital Copies" And data is always data, no matter what encryption or whatever is on it. There are ways of breaking it.
