The desktop will not always show up on the TV, if I restart the TV, it will appear with the bootup, however the computer wont boot up to windows if the computer is on the input while the bootup. (sorry if that doesnt make much sense)
Anyways, once in a while I can get the display to appear on the TV, however every time that I turn to the correct input on my TV, my computer starts lagging really badly?
I don't know what to do, any helpful hints?

Okay, so now the TV wont pick up the Computer display unless I restart the computer, then it shows the boot up process up to the point when the computer tries to load windows, but windows never loads. If I disconnect the HDMI connection, it will boot up correctly though...

Does it never load, or load but doesn't show video? (good indicator is the start up jingle)

No, it wouldnt load at all. Not just video. I figured out how to get it to work... but its not how it should be.
I have to have everything unplugged, turn on the computer and let it load. Once it gets to the desktop, then I have to plugin the TV to the Tower and it will detect it just fine. Im actually laying in bed on the other side of my room typing this watching the TV right now...
Just dont think I should have to re-attach it each time.

Well it sucks that you have to do that as a work-around.
Does it work the same if you turn on the PC, but not the TV, then turn on the TV when it's booted up?

I just hooked up my LG 52" (52LB5D) to my system. No problems to announce. Did you try cycling the input on the tv to have the HDMI "reconnect"? I'm actually very pleased with ATI and LG's computability. Works like they were meant to be together, heh.
