Just shy of 100oC.

I set the fan profile on my 4850 to be quiet on the stock cooler and started gaming one time and forgot to change it >_>

Needless to say the cooling got upgraded shortly after that.

well, a few days ago i woke my pc up from being idle for a few hours(F@H chugging away) and i notice the temps in the explorer bar, and one GPU was at 112C !!!!! this was because the TVtuner PCB was very close to the fan of the GSO(the TV Tuner was in the ONLY PCI slot available, sanwiched between the two dual slot sized GPUs)and more or less blocking the top GPU's fan totally, so i think, oh, crap, and removed the tuner to see if it helped, and it definitely dropped the load temp by 40C,

also(this is before the temp sensors were working correctly) one time i put the case side panel on i plugged the fans into the headers under the bottom card, fire it up, get F@H running on GPUs and SMP, go to sleep, then a day LATER i go on my computer and adjust the fan speeds in, oddly, speedfan just to see which fan control changes which fan, i turn the ones i don't know off, and then i look in the side of my case with a flashlight i see the bottom GPU's fan was off!!!! i turn all the fan settings on high, check and it's still off, so, crap that aint good i am thinking and i shut it off and pull the case side, put the fan plugs on the other headers and boot it up and it still works great, i just WONDER what my temps were that day, i just know CPU temps were up a few oC

in an old SLI machine a friend of mine owned, he had 6600Gt's in it, and while it was working the plastic fan on one of the GPU heatsinks actually melted off. Needless to say he gave the 6600GT to me (that was my first PCI-E graphics card) and ive still got it sitting on my desk, it still works too!

your x850XT only gets to 80 at stock fan settings? my one stays at 90(which is where the fan kicks on all the way up to 18% from 5%)

but mine certainly didn't melt off, i wonder what THOSE temps actually were
