EeePC replacing Linux

Post by Darkstar »

hi,

Just wondering if anyone has installed ubuntu on the Eeepc, i noticed it comes with Xandros but i would prefer Ubuntu (or Xbuntu). I have seen a wealth of how to's on the web, but just wondering if anyone has done it.

thanks,

Don't know squat about it, but I saw the name when looking at reviews on the Eee recently at Newegg.

I must have obviously overlooked it somehow. I read every review, regardless of my interest in the product, for information purposes.

http://www.ubuntu-eee.com/

It was designed for the 900 and 1000s from the ground up, they didn't hack ubuntu to make it work. Works flawlessly and its what I use
