Intel P4 Northwood 3GHz
Intel i865 mobo
1GB Corsair VS
Visiontek Xtasy 9600XT

Those are the main components. But by the end of this summer I should have:

AMD Athlon64 3200+ Venice
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum
1GB OCZ Platinum Rev. 2
Sapphire 'Ultimate' X800XL
300GB Seagate 7200.8
NEC 3540A
CM Wavemaster
Antec Neopower

Hopefully all will go according to plan and it'll be built by the end of August. And in case your curious the reason I didn't name the other components on my current computer is because they're mostly either generic or mid range crap.

EDIT: Forgot to ask BTW, what are you running?

haha, been there before, I'm running a POS compaq K6-2 500Mhz right now, as I no longer have a job as of this past Wednesday, but not to fear, my rig will be coming soon:

Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego
DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D
Nvidia 6800GT (dunno what manufacturer yet, still deciding)
Thermaltake Tsunami Dream Case with 600W OCZ PowerStream PSU
1 GB Dual Channel OCZ Platinum DDR1 PC4800+
Thermalright XP-90 HSF
Maxtor 300GB SATA 7200RPM with Native Command Queuing

As for the monitor and all, I got a 17" POS that I'm using right now, but plan on a 19" LCD. I don't know if you're new to the forum or not, but these guys here helped me in my decisions on my system. Gonna be about 1500 or so I think, but well worth it in the end

Don't have a spare laying around eh? I have 3: the one I'm using now (brand new), an old Compaq 17", and an Emachines Eview 17". As a hint man, from what I've been hearing from a lot of people in here, MSI does't have that great an offering, but it does make for an affordable system. If you're looking for longevity and expansive options in overclocking, DFI has some of the best boards you could ask for, and they have a lot of options, including PCI Express....what can I say, I'm a "latest and greatest" addict, lol.

I go with MSI because it's highly recommended by like everyone in the MPC forums. And because of this review, here.

To each his own I guess, I kinda had a bad experience with MSI, that's why I feel the way I do, but I believe it was just a minor defect that caused an intermittent problem with a KT6V-LSR setup I built for a customer....Everyone has their own tastes, and that's what makes this forum great, creative differences :) ...btw, correction to the HSF I'm getting, I'm actually going with the XP-120, which has a 120mm cooling fan instead of a 90mm cooling fan (the heatpipes on both kick so much ass man, good cooling).

I love the XP-90/120 because they're top of the line HSF and don't require you to mess with the mobo backplate(something I'm not to fond of doing).

Yeppers, couldn't have made a better decision than that HSF...However, my ultimate goal, which is lofty but eventually obtainable, is to switch the 3700+ San Diego with a dual core Athlon 64 4600+ with 1MB L2, but the same HSF will apply:)

Just a heads-up the 4600 has a 512KB cache, only the 4400 and 4800 X2s have a 1MB cache.

Personally I recommend the 4400 as you'll probably reach the same speeds as the 4600 and the extra 512KB of cache surely don't hurt.

You're right on that one...it's kinda like the single core 3200+ being able to OC the same as a 3500+. When it comes time to get a dual-core, I'll definitely keep that in mind. And oh yeah, I make it till 3 last night, lol, oh well, that first shift mentality stuck with me :P
