"New Hardware Found" please help.
Hello. I ordered a Radeon HD 4830 a few days ago, and I have connected it to my motherboard and everything is working good. But whenever I start my computer it says "Hardware found" twice, my brother told me to ignore these and press cancel, but if I do that it says that the graphic card might not work. The hardware found is "PCI Driver" and "ATI High Defenition Audio" something like that. Should I go ahead and install these? I already have the latest display driver and catalyst and that WDM thingy for my card, do I still need PCI Driver and ATI High Definition Audio?
Re: "New Hardware Found" please help.
The "ATI High Defenition Audio" is the sound driver/hardware for the 4830 to output sound over HDMI, and the "PCI Driver" might be something to do with that too.
When you were installing your new card, what was in there before and what did you do to install the new one (in terms of drivers).
But the bottom line is yes, you should install those two things. It should pick them up automatically if your catalyst version is recent enough for the card.

Alright. When I installed the graphics card, I meant plug it in. I didn't "install" anything. Anyway, I managed to install the HD Audio thing, and now the PCI Driver bubble has disappeared aswell, so I guess both of them were installed or something like that. I used the hdaudbus.sys from System32/Drivers to install it.
Re: "New Hardware Found" please help.
yup that'll do it ... if you take a look in device manager under system devives you should see an entry named High Definition Audio Controller(thats the PCI bubble poopup) and under sound video and game controllers you should now see a new entry for High Definition Audio Device (thats the HDMI audio bit)

Re: "New Hardware Found" please help.
Yeah it's there, thanks. I've got one problem though, I already had "Realtek HD Audio", I tried disabling it, and enabling the ATI HD Audio, but I didn't get any sound. It said "The device is working properly" in the ATI HD Audio options. So what's the issue?
Re: "New Hardware Found" please help.
Are you connected via HDMI to the ATI card? As that's where the sound for that device is output.
