Free Open Source Video Converter!

Post by dipu »

I dont know if any one wants to know how to convert DVDs(NonProtected) to Various Formats. So I am posting this information in advance. I use a software Handbrake. Which is very very very good. :supz: .
You will be amazed when you will use it. Small program but efficient and fast. It can use every core of your processor. You can even build your own piece. Because it is opensource and ofcourse freeeeeee.
I hope you will enjoy it. If you enjoy it plz give some benchmarks using your machine that how Handbrake performed on you rig. :)

Usually you need to use it in conjunction with DVD43. For backing up purchased media of course.

Systm... as in the "tv" show. http://revision3.com/systm/ They recently built a movie jukebox and Handbrake was a large part of the build.

I've had good results with Handbrake, especially on my new i7 box. It took advantage of multiple cores very well!
