American Idol -- Ricky Braddy --

Post by jakegub »

Hey,

I know there are some of you who watch American Idol because you love it. Some say they watch it because their significant other likes it. Whatever your reason, A friend of mine is in a kind of AI purgatory right now.

His name is Ricky Braddy and for some reason, on the 4 or 5 episodes where he performed, Fox chose not to show a single performance and he received a total of about 20 seconds throughout those episodes, mostly just video of him comforting people who didn't make it.

On Last Tuesday's show, he was made to go 2nd out of 12 in a 2 hour show. He blew the song out of the water and received all good reviews from the judges (except Simon...who said he has a good voice but is shy and doesn't have star quality). His vote count fell short and he was not chosen as one of the 3 that go on to be in the top 12. (they chose the highest male and female vote-getter and the next highest after that)

He is still in the running to be a wild-card (one of 3 chosen by the judges out of the 24 contestants that won't be voted in).

He is a Belmont University graduate, like myself and the almost forgotten InfiniteValence. If you have some freetime and want to read up on the scandelous "Rickygate", there are 2 main websites that are getting frequentish updates.

Theoretically Fox has interns that scour the internet for the mood of the populous and I'm helping "The Braddy Bunch" get the word out that this guy is going to be a hit. If he gets put in as a wildcard, I'm going to rerequest your support in voting for him.

No offense to you or your friend, but I can't stand watching these Sing/Dance/Talent shows on TV.

Good luck to him though.

Agreed.

Whatever happened to being "discovered" - recording industry people must have gotten to lazy to go out and do their jobs anymore

Mike

Good luck to him, it is just a shame he had to degrade himself to be on a show like that :(
Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me :finga:
