Had a catastrophic mobo failure today, My Crosshair bit the dust!
So, that means my PPD will drop since my 8800GTX is down
Just in case someone may have an idea, I am getting a "CPU INIT" error code on the LCD poster for the mobo.
So far from what I've read seems most are convinced the Mobo is dead. So far I have tested the PSU,
reseated the CPU, tried different arrangements of memory and reseating the GPU.
Any ideas are welcome!

hmm...that's not good dude...well, since you've done what you could with what you have, in my mind the next logical thing would be to try another cpu in the motherboard or vice versa if possible..im not sure what else besides that

I'm not sure it is the motherboard, assuming your fans spin up and you are getting error codes off the mobo. Might try unplugging everything and putting it back in. I would swap out the memory and/or check the settings for it in the bios too.(1.8 volts?)

The fans dont spin up, nothing happens at all when I hit the power buttons. Thats either the one on the case or the one on the board itself! I've tried each memory module one at a time still nothing.
The error code is on the LCD poster which is on the rear I/O panel! The poster and the LED's on the board are the only things that are working! So I know its got power, also I pulled the 24pin ATX plug jumped the green wire with one of the black wires and the PSU fan started up!
I considered swapping CPU's but hate to tear down my other system that happens to be running fine!

Don't expect a lot of communication but other than that the service was fine. No notice they received it (tracking took care of that), no notice it was fixed or had shipped back. It just arrived 9 days after I shipped it with nothing regards to the repair at all. I wondered if they even did anything to it, but it worked when I installed it.

On their site it says the only communication will be an email when it is shipped back to me! So I'm not expecting much there! I was just wondering if it will be fairly quick. From what you guys say it should be fine.
