I got as far as taking the chick to the bowling alley and stopped playing. For what it is it was killing my PC and the cars handled like crap. Glad to hear that a lot of the bugs are fixed, but now I need to find my STEAM backups of the game. I really don't want to have to redownload 12GB of game again.
I personally think that Saints Row 2 is superior to the new GTA. If the open world sandbox gameplay is what you like I would go SR2 over GTA IV.
what game to get along with new gfx card?

I laughed at SR honestly. Even gave it away, it was that much of a lame clone to me. Ran worse than gta4 did too on my rig<-----I might have kept it if it wasn't for that.

The GTA series is trying to take itself too seriously now. However, SR2 knows exactly what it is supposed to be, an over-the-top game. It reminds me more of Vice City than San Andreas or Liberty City do.
Re: what game to get along with new gfx card?
Don't get me wrong, but I loved Vice city. Hands down it has been the best GTA game so far for me, but I tried to play SR once, and I hated it.

I believe that's the point in GTA not sayin SR isn't decent..I just don't get how a video game showing a guy snorting coke and cops shooting you point blank in the head isn't considered over the top (considering Vice City and SA did the same)

I understand what he is saying, as Yahtzee put it best, they have become to realistic.
I don't want to have to stop to eat a damn hotdog between every mission, and I don't want to have to go shopping because some girl doesn't like my clothing, but I still love the atmosphere in GTA.
