FSB question

If I put a 800mhz cpu in a board that is designed to handle 400/533 will it run at 533? or not work at all?
Intel Pentium 4 NORTHWOOD 2.8 GHz 800 FSB Skt 478 SL6Z5....in a msi 651M-L ver. 2

It will if you can drop the clock multiplier from 2x to 1.5x which would depend on the board and chip. That would also give the CPU a clock speed of 799mhz.
