DAYUM this project sucks!!! haha I didn't know what you all were talking about when you said 511 point WUs suck. My estimated PPD with FAHMON went from 8.5k to 5500 with this one with my GPU.

Just dont know if the wife will go for the "replacing the htpc" thing after that ;)

lost a LOT of points when that puppy went down too! Wish the video card would have survived :( That was the 9600GSO I bought just for that system and folding.

Mike,

I live less than 10 miles away from a Saturn only salvage yard and know them fairly well... Do you want me to get you a salvage one under warranty? I can prolly ship you a complete take for under $100 so all you have to do is replace the tank. Not sure if you can tell that shop to stop, but if it isn't too late let me know... If you want me to check into it I can PM you my phone number and we can figure it out.

Nate

Yea, it was already too late - he had everything apart and 1 pump in, but the second pump was the wrong part - seems everyone has the wrong part for the secondary pump so he had to get it from Saturn themselves. Figure this, it was CHEAPER through Saturn..LOL.

I will have to keep this in mind if we have more problems!!! Or maybe i should just ship the car to you and let you deal with it - ROFL

Thanx for the offer Nate!!! I truly appreciate it!!!

Mike

Next thing that happens to this damn thing, it is gonna get traded in!! Then I think I will look at foreign cars with better warranties on them!!!!!!!!!!!

1888 point WU are really good. They keep my GPU nice and cool and put out lots of PPD. The weird thing is that it doesn't use the GPU that much, yet it can still put out so much PPD. Stanford needs to better optimize their FahCore_14 imo. Imagine the PPD those 1888 point WU can put out if the FahCore_14 stressed the GPU like those WU using the FahCore_11.

yea, my gpu hasn't even really had to turn the fan on, even when I manually set it to 100%. I can't push out more than 5.5k PPD with the big WU

back online, started it up last night, both GPUs going for about 14 hours, netted a total of: 800 pts and change :? it certainly helps when 9 units get a combined 0 points

I haven't been completing a single WU on two different computers for a good while now and didn't know it. I'll get these buggers back in business. With that taken care of, I'll look into getting my folding team back on task. Though it might be difficult. Most have been crying about electric bills.

I'm game... Need to prove i still support F@H cause I've dropped off the map. I will say this though, when you're not the homeowner, you stop folding when the billpayer says stop :/

Code: Select all

date/points/units

06.13.09/4,094/7
06.12.09/0/9
if i was running 24/7 i'd get 15 units or so in a day, not sure the points i'd get as i've been out of the loop for a month tho

If I run 24/7 with the Notfred client on my laptop and AMD X2 rig, full power on my own system (install Linux if I want to get more points), I should be able to get about 8000 PPD I think...Add that with my friends folding under my name at full power (highly unlikely) and I'd be able to output over 15 000 PPD! Alas, that'll never happen.

I am in. I might be able to get my 8800GT folding, as my electric bill wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I will ask the soon-to-be-wife if she doesn't mind it running in the corner.

Ok, so I've been folding for a couple days and averaging 6500 PPD with a 9800 GT and 4870. Does that sound about right?
