Help me get folding on my new machine

Well, i have my new machine (see signature) up and running properly. The only thing missing the F@H. I am running windows 7. I leave it on pretty much 24/7. during the day, the g/f uses it and i log into it remotely from work (i have to bypass the firewall somehow and too cheap to get a blackberry.)

Please point me in the right direction to start folding.

Think the best bet would be to do GPU folding on it...

download that file... Enter your desired username... the team number for LR (38296) and then set the settings as desired (suggest settings are listed in the application).

Windows Vista GPU Console client (note running as a service does not work in Vista). Uninstall any existing FAH services made with pre 6.20 clients before updating.

The last I heard the Vista console client worked best on Windows 7

Try this: uninstall program,delete all files from folder, reboot, install program, reboot, set up name and team number, start program.

hmm... that seemed like it started to work but then not. i started this before i went to bed and it has just hung at 5%

Have you considered running the Notfred client or some sort of VMware client instead? You get almost twice more points out of your system.

According to your log it seems that you're folding fine.

Have you tried unlocking the other core on your Phenom II?
