Re: Post Your Rig!
Mine isn't too bad, though I think I could do better. I tried to hide many behind the case or in corners, but ahh well. I'll have to agree with some other systems, though.... not the prettiest!Skippman wrote:Some of you guys need some cable managment skills.

Re: Post Your Rig!
Oh I've got the skills, just not the concern. My case is completely solid--no view inside most of the time. So as long as airflow is adequate and nothing is shorting out, I figure why worry?

Re: Post Your Rig!
My cable management is alright. Its just my ribbons that kinda kill me. Man I really need to upgrade. You guys have sweet rigs. Core 2 duos / quads, Phenom's...
Also I posted a new thread under AMD Motherboards, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cable management... Bah!

Well, it's not much, but I can play a bunch of games on it. Not all that cutting edge to compare with the other beasts here.
The sound system is plugged into the computer and the sub-woofer really kicks the sound out. It makes being part of the game so real.
The XBOX controller works with the machine too.

Re: Post Your Rig!
heres my rig:
Sorry The pictures are kinda blurry, the only camera I have is my crappy cellphone's built-in camera
I know the cable management isn't good in those pictures but that is right after I put my machine back together from installing a new processor, as well as re-doing the cooling system. I've done a bit more to it since these pictures were taken with the cables but not much more, I just haven't taken the time to yet, and this system runs cool & efficient, as it is.
The Specs are as follows:
Cooler Master Centurion 5 Case
Gigabyte GA-M57SLI Motherboard
AMD 6000+ 89watt Windsor @ 3.0 ghz
4GB G-Skill PI DDR2 800 (PC6400) ram @ 4-4-4-12 timings
Gigabyte NVIDIA 8800GT 512mb OC
Drives: 1x 640GB WD SATA drive, 1x 250GB WD IDE HD, 1x WD 160GB SATA drive, 1x Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-112D
Cooling: Coolink 120mm case fan x1 , Coolink 80mm case fan x2, Cooling Silentator CPU cooler, Coolink Chipchilla motherboard chipset cooler
PSU: Thermaltake 430watt
Monitor: ASUS 22.5" 1920x1080 16x9 display, 5ms refresh
I also use a generic microsoft ComfortCurve2000 keyboard w/ a Logitech MX518 Mouse for gaming, along with a Thunder8 mousepad by X-Ray

Re: Post Your Rig!
Here is my DELL INSPIRON 9400 / E1705 I modded after reading up on here.
2 GHZ CORE 2 DUO T7200
2GB RAM
256MB Geforce 7900 GS GO Dual Heatsink (does run a bit hot and overheat maybe add some thermal paste to it) (still have the ATIX1400 to pass on) I forget what RAM specs it has, it was in early 2007 I believe when I ordered and put together this system over the next few months (first half of 2007).
17" screen
As you can see it's been a while since I've upgraded, and many games I run crash on me, some don't fully support this card.....
I think about getting a more portable / small notebook or netbook and projector, and separate system for high end stuff. Or winning? (yes)
We shall see =)
PS. If any mod knows how to undo the boxes my images appear to be shown in, feel free to correct it.
