NEVER EVER EVER BUY GEAR HEAD!!!!!!

Post by hercules71185 »

I didn't see a section for input devices.
I have purchased a $50 wireless keyboard and mouse from newegg branded by Gear Head. I just wanted a nice wireless keyboard that had a media fast forward and rewind key. And if you look at neweggs site they discontinued the keyboard and mouse I purchased. If you look at reviews the keyboard seems to go faulty after 2 weeks to a month. During the time I purchased this the reviews were good. Now, 31 days later unable to RMA I contacted Gear Head, they said they offer 30 days from purchased for a replacement or refund, if purchased outside of that date you must return it to Gear Head and pay part costs.... I'm hoping when I contact newegg Monday they will accept my 3 day late RMA because of my account with them with numerous purchases. But, just keep in mind if you see a gear head logo make sure whatever you do, do not purchase it!
This isn't just this one model either, it's all of their keyboard and mice.

Only three companies to ever buy input devices from:

Logitech
Saitech
Razor

I've never had any luck with any other company.

I've had alright products by Rosewell. They don't feel like quality, but they have held up.

All my input devices are either Logitech, or Microsoft. None of them have failed me yet.
