Why is it ok to pirate movies and games?

The below thread is as much general as it is gaming related but I posted it in the gaming section. I would very much like to get everyone's feedback concerning piracy.

Piracy drives up the price for all the honest people.
#1 I7 960 12gigs corsair,EVGA GTX 580,asus P6TD,64gb OZC ssd,160gb raptor 1TB wd black,Thermaltake 850w
#2 I 7 960 @3.2ghz- 12gigs DDR3 n-videa 275 with 1795mb ddr3 lien-lie mid tower case- 1200wa-thermaltake ups-76gig raptor 160gig velocity raptor and 750gig WD.
#3 core2 duo 3.2ghz- 2gigs DDR2-n-videa 275 1795mb ddr3-2 76 gig raptors in raid 0- lien-lie mid tower case- 1k watt ups.1TB wd
#4 and #5 can't remeber but they still run good

Thanks for that insight. Originally I thought it might be a bit more complicated but I'm going to go revise my post.

My opinion is that you don't start identical threads in 2 different sections of the forums. If I were a mod, I would close this as it is basically a duplicate. Please help keep our forums neat and clean.
