found out 3 of my rigs were "hung" when i did a quick check of the icon in task bar it showed folding "1500/10000" or something but when i went to the logs i saw there was a time out error going for the last two days.. just a head up for everyone to check the logs. they were all on ATI cards also, not sure if that was the reason or just what happened

You can also use Fahmon and it'll give you a good idea of what is up. It even works with VM folding as well

Hey sorry again for the folding failure. If i'm no longer on a team could I at least be put back on the alternate list? I'm doing much better monitoring my system so it doesn't spend too long if any down. Also I'm trying to recruit friends to fold under my name until the 22nd then to fold for the team after that. I set up an SMP client on my laptop but i'm not sure its working. It is using 100% processing for over a day now without a work unit turned in. My name under the stanford stats still says I've got just 1 processor folding

you should be folding with your eVGA 8800GT SC with Akimbo cooling Kit. That will put up a lot more points than your laptop.

yeah, i've just gone through some major hardware changes(one of my two primary folding cards died a couple days ago too), and i don't have a test system aside from my gaming rig, so if i have to run say, benchmarks or game tests for a review, i lose a ton of hours folding(and lets see, saturday i didn't have internet all day, sunday i was trying to get my current board +ram working all day, could not fold that night either, i worked on that board again most of monday(constant reboots/installing) installed games and apps all tuesday, and ran tests today, and right now its snowing heavily(have about 7" so far today))

Thats all I have folding right now is the 8800gt. My laptop has a 2.53Ghz Core 2 Duo though so I thought I could get 1000ppd more by having it fold. I'm using my netbook for school so my laptop stays at home all day doing nothing. Is it normal that it would be at 100% CPU usage without finishing any WUs yet? And should stanford's site register a 2nd CPU even before a work unit is finished or would it wait until the laptop had actually submitted something?

Yeah, it using 100% of the CPU means it's hard at work folding. And it'll not show more than one active CPU on stanford till your second machine (or rather CPU) has submitted a WU.

Not sure if the teams are still being made, but I'll be folding under Sapientun during the contest period! 8)

If there's still a chance for me to fold in this contest, I'd be glad to contribute my 4x 9600gso's and cpu for around 13k ppd, and my GTX 260 intermittently. I haven't been folding too much lately, but I can start again under the name Anthonyvanp.

It could take more than a day to finish a WU. right click the icon in the lower right and check out the log file. it will tell you how much it has completed
