No Diggity! no doubt...

Post by Pingspike »

So here I am, the lurker revealed.
I usually browse the site on my phone so I've never bothered registering on these here forums, but now I bothered.

Hello there, I'm Pingspike, I'm new to the forums (but not the site technically..)
I love all things technical and some not. Computers/Networks are my passion. I run a LAN in Maine, its awesome but new.
I met Austin (reviewer here) at my recent LAN event and enjoyed a good techy chat. Then we got with the caffeine chugging (well he didnt) and got shootin'

I like linux, windows 7 but hate vista, all flavors of *nix especially BSD. I get wood when i see/use new hardware. I currently own ATi but all previous cards were nVidia, so i like both. I'm a fanboi of nothing, player of anything (almost, unless its pink 'n girly). Laugh heartily at lolcats and fails indiscriminately.

Ummm, if you have a network question, I can help.

So thats me, im pretty much awesome, how about you ?

Well Pingspike, I found the forums a few years ago when I was looking for a place to tell me if an Ibuypower rig would be right for me.
The guys here stopped me from paying too much and got me into the whole enthusiast "thing"
Now 3 years later, I'm glad I found LR. I literally owe the guys here my job (system builder/bench tech at a computer store)
Glad to see another lurker getting onboard! Welcome to LR mate!

Yey, Lurkers unite!
Quite an evolution there stopthekilling77.
Skier: I've dug out my drive once already today and i'll do it again when the snow stops. Went into town in the snow today to Chinese and helped some poor Massachusetts driver up the hill (got out and pushed the car up hill), for some reason they felt it necessary to rant and rev the engine and spin the wheels. Noise and snow flying does not make for a productive hill climb in the snow.
thankfully computers don't have to deal with such things.. unless you consider defrag and spyware in the same category. :)

ha, sounds about right most people don't understand the physics of "making tires spin does not achieve traction"
