Newegg has it up, but it is listed at $129.99 and no rebate is showing up... WTF
On top of that it says "limit 1 per customer" WTF

I guess they have short supply and are expecting significant demand. Oh well.

Looks like they've jumped the price a bit as well!
I got an order confirmation from TD ... the ones I ordered were $105.25 each.

It appears the special $85 price is being done this wed as the Newegg Shell Shocker...
Not sure why Kingston told everyone it would be $85 on launch day, but hey in the long run it is only a 2 day wait.

Re: Kingston 40GB V Series Boot Drive SSD Review
Just ordered two from Newegg at $105 a piece.
At 12-midnight PST, Newegg made them available and changed the pricing from $119 to the "Shell Shocker Deal". The $20 rebate coupon is good for 2 drives purchased from Newegg only, so $85/piece plus tax. Not bad.
Had to do two separate transactions to grab two of the drives though...Free shipping on both orders though. Should have them by Friday since Newegg's warehouse is down the street!

Re: Kingston 40GB V Series Boot Drive SSD Review
For anyone who purchased one of these from Newegg when it first launched, I got my $20 rebate in the mail today.
Took 2 months to get the rebate. Not bad!

Re: Kingston 40GB V Series Boot Drive SSD Review
With the launch 30 GB TRiM enabled V series just launched, seems like Kingston is doing the same as Intel: no TRIM will be available for the "obsolete" 40 GB V Series.
This is the e-mail I got from KIngston technical support:
" We do not and will not have firmware update that support TRIM for the V+ and V series, however, something might come out in Q2 for the SSD V40 (Your drive) which is Intel based. Unfortunately, as the drive is Intel based we need to wait for them to release the update for it "
B.....rds!

All intel on this one... They are holding the goods and not letting Kingston run TRIM.
