Will Be Leaving

Post by geokilla »

I'm sorry to say this, but I will be leaving the Legit Reviews Folding@Home team. It's been a good almost 1.64 million points folding here at Legit Reviews. I went from single core folding to all out dedicated SMP/VMware and GPU folding. The last contest that we had was a blast and very competitive, though there were some complaints and complications and what not. Starting at the next WU, I'll be folding for my fellow Canadians.

So on a final note... FOLD ON LEGIT REVIEWS! I will still check this site daily and post and help people.

Haha yea. Welcome to the team too I guess. Better late than never?

I'll probably fold back and forth. Every once in a while, you might see some points from me. Actually I might keep the VMware client so it continues to fold for Legit Reviers. I'm attached to this team.

Geo,

I hear what you are saying. I'm still folding, the team isn't even on the 1st nor 2nd page. But it's good to fold with people that share the same core values. Regardless, keep folding since it's all for a good cause overall. :)

Do what you wish to do, but I'm not a happy camper hearing this news. You have been a backbone for Legit Reviews. All your help and support! Man, the team is going to miss you, and so will I. Best Wishes and warm regards. I just wish I could change your mind. Whatever you do geokilla, Fold on. Please keep in touch. May your team scores never be forgotten!

Best news I read in this statement was the fact that you are still going to be folding! I hate to see you go to another team, but at least you are not giving up completely!

As a fellow Canadian I understand where you are coming from. I have thought about the same thing...but I am happy here so I'm staying. Also I'm adding another card to the pool next week, probably a gts 250. I should be at 22K+ by the end of Feb. You help out north of the border and I'll wave the flag here south of the border.

Fold on dude. :)

How'd you know I was leaving to HWC?? STALKER! YOU'VE BEEN HACKING INTO MY MSN ACCOUNT!!!

Nah it wasn't anything you said. Just that they have a contest, I'm a Canadian, think it's time I support a Canadian team. I'm still going to fold for Legit Reviews, so I'm folding for two teams at once. So overall, my PPD won't be as high as before, and definitely not as high as during the contest days. It's a loss I'm willing to take. In the end, it's all for a good cause.

Keep up the good work guys! With the new hardware that you guys are using, it'll be even easier for the new folders to pass me!

@Wifuzzy. I can't hold you off even if I wanted to. Your PPD is too high.... It's like 4X of what I put out if I fold 24/7. At this rate, you'll pass me by the end of the next month!

just cheched the PSUs in the 2 comps at work and I guess the GTS 250 is not gonna happen. But since I read the review on the GT 240 on legit...I'll put one of those in there...skier....how high do you think the shader will OC without touching the core?

well i think it'll be able to go higher than linked, im trying 1600MHz right now and seems to be working, you might also want to look into a 9800GT, but i'm cookin somethin up right now and you better believe it'll have F@H comparisons ;)

I think the gt 240 will work well at work...low power. I also ordered a gts 250 to replace my 3870. We'll see what the points add up to once they go in.
