VM Ware

Post by Wifuzzy »

yup...this is going well. Following the guide I found here (http://forums.legitreviews.com/post158674.html#p158674) and all was going well untill I got to the part about logging in through IE with the IP address supplied....IE will not connect? Just sits there looking for the page. I am on step 7...and yes...I have the IP adress right.

I do not have a password for this comp. I did solve the Setup problem. I could log in from another computer. Now I just have get the thing to run. It keeps locking up my computer and it reboots. I did follow all the steps. I do have a question...the Player takes like 15-20 minutes to load whatever it is loading.....I am thinking something is not set right but do not know where to start. The comp it is running on only has a gig of ram...could that be a prob?

this is silly. Seems to ba problem with fahmon and vmware player. My X4 965 is 184,000 PPD according to fahmon. Any ideas on how to fix this...I think it is a time issue, because it started saying only 28 minutes to go.

Can't you edit your posts instead of quadruple posting or whatever?

I don't know about you, but for me, the image provided by linuxrouter from EVGA is much better than the notfred client. More stabler, faster, and easier to use. Maybe you can give that a try.

I just noticed my CPU (965) is running at 55- 60% in vmware player. I tried suspending and restarting and shutting it off and restarting. I did not reboot the computer yet....had to go to work. Anyone got any ideas

You can try alot of things, change the image and run linux64 image or change notfred to run 2 folding units at the same time, or run 2 single normal cpu folding units. I have given up and decided to leave it alone and see what the next work unit is.

So in other words you can do what you like but it is not really going to make any difference and just waste alot of time. I'll leave it alone. Thanks
