Ok, my son has successfully killed yet another cheap-o game pad. Buttons not holding up, mainly the one mapped to attack LOL. So I was thinking of getting another cheap-o but noticed that the ones for the old OG X-Box he plays at his grandmas house hold up just fine.
Do a little digging and find this guy Microsoft JR9-00001 360 wireless controller with USB dongle for PC's for $50-ish. Wired for $30-ish.
Anyone else try the wireless one on the PC? I know that the wired ones work, but figured I could go wireless for an extra $20 and free up some clutter. More and more of the games he wants for the PC are Microsoft games and come pre-mapped for the 360 controller. plus from what I have read this will also work with a 360 if I ever get one, so I will be ahead there.

Re: My game pad died
Just make sure you buy the wireless receiver for it to work on a PC.

Yeah, its a kit for the $50. Controller and dongle. The controller itself is like $30-ish
