Should see better minimum frame rates now. What is your VCore set to in the BIOS out of curiosity?

So it's either set to Stock or Automatic. No problem there, I was just wondering.

It's the voltage that is allocated to your CPU.

Yeah, i haven't messed with vCORE. i ordered my 5750 1gb gddr5 today off the egg, i can't wait to see the performance increase. I have yet to test any of my 15+ source games with my 9600 and new cpu overclock. I was only testing BC2 to check for a fps increase. I'd imagine i can max out tf2 with higher framerates instead of ~40fps without an OC maxed out

Where I noticed the most from an overclocked machine is the minimum FPS. Going from 25 to 40 FPS on the bottom end is more impressive to me than the average framerate. Essentially it has gone from unplayable to enjoyable.

Side note: Most source engine games are very CPU dependent. So a faster CPU speed should translate to better gameplay in those games. Hell, now you might be able to apply some or more AA now.
