Ok, if this if off topic or listed somewhere I haven't looked, don't complain, please point me in the right direction.
I recently bought a new motherboard and new componets to go with it. It is a Biostar G41D-M7. I have everything plugged in and set up right, however it will not boot it up. It turns on, the fan, dvd drives, and hard drive start to run. but nothing will come up on the screen. I know it's not the monitor, and I understand it could be a number of things. All i would like to know is if the parts I bought for this motherboard are compatable. to rule out stupidity.
Here's what I bought:
Biostar G41D-M7 Motherboard
Core 2 duo 2.2 Ghz E4500
2Gb DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHZ 240 pin
Western Digital 250GB SATA Hard drive
if you need anymore info please let me know...
thanks for your help

sorry to hear you are having problems...
The parts you are using appear to be fine.
Have you tried resetting the motherboards CMOS (BIOS)?
If that doesn't do the trick do you have a PCI or PCIe based video card that you can try instead? If everything appears to be working and nothing is coming up on the screen it could be a defective motherboard.

on reseting the cmos: ive had some confusion about that. the piece appears to always be over the 1-2 pins to turn it on. when its over 2-3 it doesnt turn on. though in the instructions it says normal is 1-2 closed.
everything seems to be seated firmly.
the power supply is a okia 450 watt model: LC-8460BTX
oh yeah no graphics card yet. still waiting for it.
