Newegg and Customer Fooled - Fake CPU
I saw this over at HardOCP and this definitely is not the kind of attention that the Egg would like.

Re: Newegg and Customer Fooled - Fake CPU
Does he have to give the fake processor back? Did he run any benchmarks on it? That would be a curious thing to know.
Is there another posting of the performace of the fake?

Re: Newegg and Customer Fooled - Fake CPU
The fake processor is not even a processor, it's just a hunk of metal. In the video description he says that he put it in his motherboard and it damaged it.
Re: Newegg and Customer Fooled - Fake CPU
Why, why, why did he even put it in his motherboard?
Re: Newegg and Customer Fooled - Fake CPU
He should have inspected it whether or not it was fake, but apparently he trusted Newegg too much to do so. Either that or he wants an excuse to get a free motherboard.

Re: Newegg and Customer Fooled - Fake CPU
Hence the Newegg Edition. Any idea what movie that scene is in? At this point I'm curious what is said in the real movie.
Re: Newegg and Customer Fooled - Fake CPU
i'd say the funniest part of the fake cpu was that the fan was a sticker.
