Here's my new office:

Tomorrow, we'll have the walk through and have good pictures of everything inside. Most of the pics I took today were of details rather than full rooms.

I will say, though, that the builder is rather, uhm, surprised at how many network, phone and cable jacks there are around the house (not to mention the surround sound wires in 2 rooms). Hubby didn't want to disappoint. He told me that our house will be the first home in the neighborhood that will have the toilet hooked up to a server so when it backs up, the server alerts us! :ANAL: We certainly ran a LOT of wires...

Funny I don't remember you being there when the guys ran the wires! :axe:

That house is indeed wired to nearly the max. I take credit for the box in the garage and justin is the one who wanted the web cam in the bathroom so he could watch from work.

You are SO not right!! In fact, we did not run any wires to the bathrooms. Besides closets, those are the only rooms in the house that did not get network, telephone, or cable.

Even though I was not there for the initial wire-running, I was there to finish the job (with Justin) the next day, and then again to terminate the wires later. I had a hand in it -- I didn't completely sit the bench on this one :)

So instead of saying "We certainly ran a LOT of wires" it should have been "I sat on my butt and terminated wires"

Just giving yeah grief. Not too many house wives can say they have networked a house. Your wife rating went up a point!

Actually Capper that is my neighbor.. this one is mine: http://www.sneedco.com/B&OCT%20shanty%206.JPG

What's up with the light over the kitchen sink? Is that temp light till they install your fixture?

The light we ordered has been backordered. Not only that, but we apparently bought a display for the dining room, and the cord and chain wasn't long enough for a vaulted ceiling (not to mention they forgot to send the hardware). So we have 2 of those porcelain lights until they can get the new ones in.

I'll let you know next spring :) They'll sod the front and seed the sides and back, but we have ideas for the landscaping that will hopefully be put into play when the weather warms (and our savings swell) again.

All you need to do is "break in" every room :P ("break in" -> leave that to your imagination :) )
