Re: New Gaming PC
Looks pretty solid, but you might want to beef up the GPU a little more... What resolution monitor will you be gaming on and on what game titles?
Re: New Gaming PC
Personally for more of an all around machine I'd look into an AMD quad core and new SATA III/USB 3.0 motherboard. If you're gaming at anything higher than 1024x768 with the details turned up then the CPU is less of a factor.
Re: New Gaming PC
Pretty nice gaming rig, hope you gonna enjoy!
Re: New Gaming PC
I'd switch to AMD. The PC in my Signature I just built for about 600$ or less after Mail in Rebates and I got most parts from Microcenter and Newegg.com. I built it by trying to keep in mind expandability later on. I believe if I upgrade again it will just be a new mobo/cpu and maybe grab another 5770. I used to be a huge nvidia fan but they have let me down recently. Just my opinion but w/e.saifbilal wrote:i am buying a brand new gaming PC spec are anyone can help plz

Re: New Gaming PC
you could always get a dual/tri-core phenom ii, buy a motherboard with a core unlocker and use that. you'll get about the same performance for about half the price.

you might want to find a different processor that isn't OEM though.

Re: New Gaming PC
I definitely recommend a new graphics card. 240 won't get you very far.
Re: New Gaming PC
i would defiantly get a 5770 or higher for gaming or a new Nvidia 470!
Re: New Gaming PC
I would agree on the video card ideas but it also depends on what games you want to play. If you go for a higher end video card make sure whatever PSU you decide to buy will support it.
Re: New Gaming PC
Personally I think you should hold it off and save if you are on a budget and that is the reason why you are purchasing the parts you are for a "Gaming PC"saifbilal wrote:i am buying a brand new gaming PC spec are anyone can help plz

Personally I'd go with the E8000 series if you plan on going intel dual core, my old E8500 D0 was OC'd to 3.8 ghz easily and pretty stable and around 1.27 I believe.
As for memory I believe an extra 2gb would greatly improve your performance. Try to get an Antec 650 earth watts (Pretty affordable) and a solid PSU, also as others have mentioned that GPU will not take you far for gaming. If you're on a budget get an 9800GT, basically similar to a GTS 250 and cheaper.
Re: New Gaming PC
Maybe wait until Nvidia Fermi GPUs are out in the wild. Prices for ATI/Nvidia GPUs may drop some.
Re: New Gaming PC
probably true, now that Fermi has been announced and can be pre-ordered, only a little bit of time will tellareos wrote:Maybe wait until Nvidia Fermi GPUs are out in the wild. Prices for ATI/Nvidia GPUs may drop some.

Re: New Gaming PC
I don't think ATI is going to drop prices as they don't really need to to compete anymore. They are selling quite healthily and there is no volume problem. Not to mention there are no mainstream counter parts from Nvidia.
Re: New Gaming PC
I would say go for an ATI 5770 or 5830 if you can afford to. Little more performance, and should run slightly cooler than 240.

Re: New Gaming PC
looks ok, if you can scrape up the cash I would get a nvidia 260 or ati 5850 so your gfx will last a bit longer

Re: New Gaming PC
Looks more like a budget system to me, every part is like a generation old already and there's almost no room for future upgrades with that motherboard. There's really no reason not to grab a cheap $100 i5, the performance gain is just so much over the core 2 duo. Course, the motherboard for that will be quite a bit more than the one you've chosen, but it gives you room to upgrade with whatever new CPU's Intel comes up with, also it supports DDR3, which is now basically the same price as DDR2 so should probably get that too, although performance wise, I've heard there's almost no difference at all. Just futureproofing it in a way I guess.

Re: New Gaming PC
I have to agree with Jodox. For $120-$150 more or so (plus some change) you could go with something like this :
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128425 You can go a bit cheaper on a P55 board but this one has 2 USB 3 ports at a great price
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115215 Quad core i5, you can save a few buck by going with a dual core i5 and upgrade later as well
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231185 Decent RAM and you can add another kit later for 4GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814131330 IMHO on a budget this card offers the best bang for buck out there at the moment
The key to the above is that you will have many options to upgrade down the road to something like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115214
If you want the system to last for a few years I would save up the extra money for a good upgradable foundation IMHO.

Re: New Gaming PC
It looks good, but as others said, go for a beefier GPU if you can.
