Checking 12V Rail for Video Card

Well another thing I neglected to do was check my PSU to see if it had enough W on the 12v rail. PNY recommends at least 20 W. Here's a picture of my PSU Voltages (YES IT'S A RAIDMAX, WE'VE ESTABLISHED THAT ALREADY!):


Do I add both 12V slots together to get 37 or what?

yea both add to 37 amps.

Though if you're card is the one I see on newegg..you're probably going to have a small issue(says it has a minimum of 24 amps on NE). I'm not a guru on PSU's but if a card only has one plug, and it does only 20W, it may not work too well. you can have all the wattage you want.. but how it's distributed is what matters more.

20V on rail 1 is probably the 24 pin plug and 4/8 pin header. The 2nd rail is probably everything else. Worse case scenario is the card doesn't work. Plug it in and try it.

But as already stated you are above the recommended voltage, add rail 1 and 2 together to get your total value.
