Could it be a break time where naps are allowed or what? I know some factories give workers nap time on the line in China.... I've been there a few times and been to factories like this one, so personally I think the story is fud.
1,000 people in a 105' x105' room... thats 11,025 sqft, 11 sqft per worker, roughly 3.5' x3.5' of space per person... well not accounting for isles, hope you get along with the person next to you.
That many people in one room, that close, is gonna make some heat but 86F is not bad, but its not comfy either. Hope the person to the left and right have good hygiene.
But it looks like break time to me. 1000 people in a room with their head down all at the same time is either a break or a mass rebellion. I've worked in some crappy places and anywhere from 8 to 16 hour days. Don't care who you are, you go more than a couple weeks at over 12hrs a day your going to squeeze a nap in where ever you can.
