Problems with Radeon 9250

Post by apachidoo »

Hey!

I got a problem with my games and i think is from the videocard, when i play an game like World of Warcraft, AvP, Lineage 2 or other, if i play more then 5-10 min, the screen freezes and i have to restart my PC, i didnt encounter that before but in the last 3 months is happens ... what i can do to fix that?
My videocard doesnt have an FAN cooler on it.

PC Spec:

Motherboard: BIOSTAR P4M800-M7A with an INTEL P4 3.2 GHZ
Videocard: ATI Radeon 9250(AGP)
Rams: 1Gb

And the only fan i have is the one over the procesor...

THANX! :D

Can you download GPU-Z and check what the GPU temperatures are?

Could you be overheating?

well thats pretty safe really, the X850XT idles at 50C and safely loads at 90C, doubt that much of a thermal difference could exist between generations, i'd say either get new drivers or get a new card(because the games demand a better one to even be able to play)

CATALYST 10.6 drivers should be out today, so I'd update your drivers and see if that helps.

the newest he can use are the legacy 10-2 drivers because the card is so old(even my x1650 has to use 10-2)

I'd say try putting a fan near the card or trying a different video card if possible at this point.
