AAdvantage Cards Effective today, July 29, 2010, American Airlines is enhancing the benefits available to our AAdvantage elite status members.
Waived AAdvantage Award Processing Charges*
AAdvantage Executive Platinum® members are already exempt from award processing charges for travel ticketed within 21 days of departure when using miles from their account. We are now extending this benefit to our AAdvantage Platinum® and AAdvantage Gold® members, making it even more rewarding to be an elite status member.

ugh...
The 'AAdvantage Ticketing Service Charge' still applies, which is $20 per ticket...
oh well... at least now when you book you aren't stuck with the $50-100 processing fee per ticket. Still not free award travel though.

I need to sign up...I'm flying on Cathay Pacific (an AA partner) to Hong Kong in Sept and that adds up miles/points quickly!
