We need to kick it in high gear to stay at 72 place!
I have noticed that within 3 months at this pace we are going to be knocked down many places in team rank. I hope we can boost our team score so we don't get passed up. How can we increase our PPD?
Re: We need to kick it in high gear to stay at 72 place!
we need more people to fold..

yea, I'm about maxed out right now until Natasha's work switches over their servers to windows server 2008. Could be in the next few months. I could then build another rig and get rid of our windows xp pro rig. It's just a matter of time. I just wish the new graphic cards were shorter so I could put them in my case. Edit: I wish our team looked like this team: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... s=&t=38156

It always amazes me when a contest is run we can get TONS of points per day but the minute the contest is over, people drop away like dead little flies ;)
Oh well, I figure I am doing my part to the best of my ability so wherever we end up in points, we are at least helping

I'd come back and help out, but being a fellow Canadian, I must help Canada aim for the top!

I bet monthly drawings for active folders would keep people folding. Now if we can just procure 12 GTX 580 or 6970 cards.

That should be resolved this year.skier wrote:would have to be 580s, 6970s cant fold hahasmack323 wrote:I bet monthly drawings for active folders would keep people folding. Now if we can just procure 12 GTX 580 or 6970 cards.
I'm folding some here and there, with the Sandy Bridge launch then CES and just finishing up the Kingston memory article, I can finally get my network redesigned and back to normal for the most part. In the process of it all I sold both of my x58 systems and have the SR-2 offline for a while until I can find/afford a case and new power supply for it. All of my points now are coming directly from either of the two Sandy Bridge systems I have running.

Back fresh from a work roadtrip...New Crosshair begging to be installed...Then the folding shall resume!

It's never too late. Don't give up. We can do it if we can get more people to fold for LR. I'm doing my best and I know everyone is doing the same. Fold on!

Pulling the beer card to instill enthusiasm, nice. I have beer in hand and I am folding away (slowly but surely since Nov). How about all of you?!vbironchef wrote:It's never too late. Don't give up. Darkstar, I just ordered another one. EVGA|012-P3-1570-AR GTX570 R I told you I would double it. That's going to 2-570's. Ouch! By next week my ppd should increase by 25K at least.

One folding, one to go. Will be here tomorrow I hope. Edit: I was wrong, won't be here til friday. Edit again: Both gtx570's are folding. Not really, I should have upgraded my qx6700 rig. Big-adv points is the way to go.
