Post by Merlin »

A friend of mine asked me to see if I could fix his PC. so far all I see wrong is I get a " MSS32.DLL is missing" error on a few different games he has. What is this and how do I fix it?

here are several different ways that mss32.dll errors can show up on your computer. Here are some of the more common ways that you might see mss32.dll errors:

"Mss32.dll Not Found"

"This application failed to start because mss32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

the fix is this download the mss32.dll from here http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-fil ... nload.html

then place it in this folder C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7) Overwriting this file, then reboot computer.

if you continue to have problems do below

Type CMD and press Enter
Type regsvr32 "filename".dll and press Enter.

if your friend has to replace 3-5+ dll's then it is a sign of a much larger problem and I recommend a complete reinstall the OS (fresh install)
