One of the first things that stood out for me was the comfort of the Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset. This headset definitely has the comfort of a more expensive headset, and at $77.54 shipped, this headset is by no means over priced, especially since it comes with a full two year warranty and you get to choose between micro fiber or faux leather ear cup pads. I reviewed a lot of very expensive headsets that were way over priced...

I owned this headset for a week and no matter what settings i tried, i could never get them to sound decent for gaming or listening to music with any kind of bass. My sound card has Dolby headphones option but not even that would make in game sounds, sound real, the explosions sounded weak too.

Every review seems to state the build quality which is nice (i agree) but overstate the sound quality, Legit Reviews did point out the lack of bass a bit but not enough to warn gamers. All the real world reviews from gamers i have read say the sound quality is horrible, which i agree with after owning this so called "gaming" headset. I have used stereo headsets that produced better sound for gaming which cost half the price of this headset.

I don't know how gamers can feel immersed with this headset when the sound quality is lacking. I tested this headset out while playing TF2. The pyro flamethrower sounded horrible, same with any explosions which happens a lot on 32slot Team Fortress 2 servers.
