SAN FRANCISCO – April 20, 2011 – Havok, the leading provider of interactive software solutions for simulation and characters in the games industry, has launched a new business unit dedicated to developing and supporting Military and Simulation systems. Capitalizing on Havok’s deep expertise mined from years of being the market leader within the games industry, the new business unit will employ a dedicated team to empower military and simulation divisions with the ability to develop interactive, high-fidelity simulation environments of incomparable realism. To lead the initiative, Havok has appointed Cory Kumm to the role of Director of Military and Simulation, who joins Havok with more than 14 years of experience defining, developing and delivering successful products, services and training programs for entertainment, commercial games and the military.
Havok offers a complete portfolio of simulation technologies including realtime simulation of physics and destruction; tools for character animation and navigation and scenario scripting.
