Pioneer DDJ-S1 Serato ITCH 2.0 DJ Software Update
Pioneer announces the inclusion of the Serato ITCH 2.0 DJ software with its DDJ-S1 controller, an update to the previous Serato ITCH DJ software included with the system. The DDJ-S1 bundled with the “Serato ITCH 2.0” DJ software will be available for sale in October 2011. Consumers of the current DDJ-S1 can download the new software for free on the Pioneer support website – www.prodjnet.com/support.

Pioneer DDJ-S1 Controller:

Offers the same operability and functionality of a professional player and mixer setup including excellent audio quality
New “Hot Cue Fader Start” function enables the consumer to use the crossfader to control volume and hot cues at the same time. Combining the fader start and hot cue functions into a single action increases the range of song possibilities for DJs.
Included Serato ITCH 2.0 DJ software. Serato ITCH 2.0 updates include-
Equipped with a customizable user interface (GUI) to fit different DJing styles and environments. New GUI features include-
Ability to view album artwork in the browsing area for quick and easy song selection. The DDJ-S1 is equipped with a dedicated button to conveniently switch to the album artwork at any time.
Day and Night modes can be used to change the on-screen colors for easy screen viewing in any environment
Four display mode options with the ability to switch back-and-forth to best suit DJ needs:
Horizontal – displays horizontal waveforms
Vertical – displays vertical wave forms
Library – displays the decks in miniature
Stack – displays the decks stacked vertically
SP6 sample player – enables the user to synchronize and play sound from six different sources and is controlled via the computer keyboard
Smart Crates – takes keywords from the user’s music library to automatically update a crate
Serato Playlists – users can share their track lists either as they play or online afterwards
Improved Library Management – allows users to easily copy crates and tracks to external drives for performances
Re-optimized SYNC engine – offers users’ visual feedback to maintain precise grids and locked grooves
