Microsoft opens up the Windows 8 Preview to all!

Post by XstollieX »

Microsoft is taking a different approach to their Windows 8 launch than they did to Windows 7. When the Windows 7 betas came out, it was all over the Torrent sites within hours. As of this evening anyone can download it Legally. Though I recommend a decent speed download connection as the 64bit version of Windows 8 is 3.6Gb while the 32bit version is 2.8Gb. If you want to give Windows 8 a preview you can download it and try it out here

Looks like Windows 7 just became the new Windows XP! Microsoft is trying too hard to be like Mac and their Windows Phone 8.

I think they're going in the right direction. Tablets are huge right now and this should be a great os for that. I'm VMing it right now.

I find most of the new features to me useless to me. I haven't had a chance to try out the Windows 8 preview, but from what I have seen, I will wait until Windows 9 comes out. I may consider Windows 8 if the Xbox 360 emulator rumours turn out to be true.
