As much as I hate to have bad service, I wonder if it's the employee's that are just trying to meet a deadline or if in fact the employee's just don't give a damn. It's probably both. I think the company should review their policy about customer satisfaction and hold all accountable.

I know when they load the UPS truck they have to deliver every package that day. It doesn't matter if they don't get done until 12AM. That truck has to come back empty. I'm pretty sure that FedEx and the USPS are the same. The only exception would be a package that needs a signature.

I have to say a lot of delivery companies probably have that sort of set up to come back empty as possible. But the best company I have found so far is DHL. We use them a lot at work and not had any beaten parcels.
