Very nice mate!!!

Just one thing! Why an automatic? I know most cars in the states are automatic....a six speed gearbox makes it feel like your driving!

otherwise it's as like Home Simpson said "gas, break, honk, gas, break, honk" ;)

Infact I can't say anything, I don't drive, I cycle everywhere..Dublin is a small city, It takes me 10mins to get into the city centre and 10min into work...If I drove it would be 20mins! (even if i catch a cab, it only costs ~€5 to get home)

ummmm, Americans are lazy? :finga:

nahh, considering that most of the traffic in the states are indeed automobiles, due to everything being spaced rather far away, automatics make sense because then you don't have to worry about downshifting really fast when some idiot in front of you slams on his brakes for no reason. There's a lot of those types down here in SC....I think they should cancel about 80% of this state's licenses as bad as they drive.

personally ken, we would be better off in many respects if:

A: A way was made to enable people to bike to work everyday (ie move key large businesses closer to where most employees live so they can reap the benefits); some businesses that people work at are way out of biking distance, and in some cases provide for a long car ride. More implementation of exercise would work well here too.

B: fast food was completely eliminated, because that coupled with laziness makes a person fat (with the exception of people with very high metabolisms; fast foods are toxic as all hell)

C: if neither of the two can be accomodated, at least abolish fossil-fuel burning autos and implement hydrogen or equivocally clean vehicles, and save what's left of the ever-dwindling oxygen and ozone.

I know a whole lot of people will most definitely disagree, but if something isn't done the entire world could become obese....it's a pandemic now, after all.

yeah.. but lets try keep this thread on-topic....I wasn't trying to say people shouldn't drive (I wish I could afford to. LOL)
Occasionally a thread doesn't need to turn into a debate!!! :)

In the end I'm just jealous of vstrom!

now if you combine Vstrom's avatar with his ride.... then you have a "ride" (I'd happily keep my hands off the gearshift!)

You don't know how bad I wanted the 6 speed manual. :x 2 things stopped me:
1- It is difficult if not impossible to get the 6 speed manual at this time. They are in very short supply and dealer estimates were 1-3 months

2- The wife wanted all wheel drive since the manual is RWD (the AWD only comes in auto). Since we live in an area where we do get snow, it was necessary because our other car is a BMW 325ci with the sport package which barely gets along on wet roads much less snow.

Actually, it gets 22 -28 MPG which is pretty good for a V6 205HP car. The alternative was a BMW X3 which gets like 18-22MPG :vom:

I use to have a 1986 chevy 4x4 suburban. With the good ol detroit steel i didnt worry much about crashing. people mainly would stay out of the way. And when i wanted to change lanes on the freeway, they would move! It was nice. Now i have something that would fit in the back of that suburban, but i went from 8mpg to 20mpg so im not comlaining too much. I do miss it though.

Nice ride BTW!!!!!!!

they're tanks, that's for sure. A guy in a brand-new F150 smacked my rear bumper and hitch because he was tailgating the whole time. He completely fragmented a good part of the bottom of his front bumper, while I just had a little scratch and some of the rubber on the top was marred, but that's all. People fear the beast, lol
