BenQ releasing a 2ms monitor in November

Post by kenc51 »

Digitimes are reporting that BenQ are releasing a new 2ms monitor!
Digitimes wrote:BenQ recently debuted its 2ms 19-inch LCD monitor (FP93G X), which it claims to be the worlds fastest monitor. The monitor will be first introduced to the Asia Pacific region next month, targeting the gamer market. However, the retail price for the model has not been determined.

To decrease its response time, the monitor employs BenQs original Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) technology that accelerates the twisting speed of liquid crystal by increasing the voltage, which helps the monitor increase its performance to a similar level of a CRT monitor.

The 19-inch monitor also features a resolution of 12801024 (SXGA), D-Sub and DVI inputs, a contrast ratio of 700:1 and a brightness of 300cd/m2.
The only thing this seems to lack is support for 1600x1200 = but that's normally for the 20" monsters!

Woah, that's just crazy. Would you even be able to tell the difference between a 4ms monitor and a 2ms? Or even between 8ms and 2ms?!

Who cares if you can tell a difference in most apps? It is the few apps that are the problem. Mostly movies and games! Im sure for those this new monitor will truely shine!

I am more interested in OLED tech tho. 2ms times are pretty sweet tho. :)
